This encompasses strengthening the capacity of community governance institutions to enhance community stewardship of their customary land and forests, promoting community-based sustainable land and forest management, and facilitating and enabling community-based actions to protect forests as part of climate change mitigation efforts. IDL works to create an enabling environment for all stakeholders to continue collaborating on improving, developing, and implementing programs that protect and conserve forests.
